We think it’s great that you’re considering buying from Zanaka.co.nz Zanaka African Attire is a retail shop based in New Zealand selling trendy African themed clothing and accessories. The word Zanaka is taken, from the word Zvanaka, an African Shona language meaning it has become beautiful, a new transformation, it is well. It has elements of hope, peace and prosperity. We felt this name would be appropriate for our branding as we aim to promote harmony and love through the sharing of African fashion and culture.
Zanaka products include African dashiki tops, dresses, hoodies & tees, bags, earrings, necklaces, head scarfs and fabrics. We will be venturing into other products as the brand continues to grow. We source our products from all over the world including Africa, Europe and Asia. Not everything found on in Zanaka is made in Africa. Zanaka aims to promote anything with an African influence and design.
We are not directly affiliated to any specific designers, however Zanaka has it’s own design concepts which can be seen in some of our merchandise and catalogs. An example is the iHeart Africa design which has seen large success through the sale of printed hoodies with the design printed on it.
